Materials and Supplies Wishlist

• Our current Wishlist has all of our greatest needs listed. Our top need is building out our reference materials that we take to our on-site programs. This list also has current suggestions for gift cards.

Give the Gift of Reading

We’re always on the hunt for our next favorite book! Here’s what works best for us:

• new or gently used condition, either paperback or hardback

• K to 4th grade (basic readers through level M)

• both informational and fiction

• anything to do with nature, science, outdoors, friendship, adventures

• diversity of representation (check out the Oakland Literacy Coalition’s resources for finding diverse books)

• we love books that have won a Caldecott Medal, a Coretta Scott King Book Award, a Belpré Award, Newbery Medal, or really any recognition for supporting inclusion in children’s literature (check out this list of awards)
